I just finished another set of wine bottle and glass holders, this time for the wine and martini drinkers. We’re having a New Year’s party at our house and these are for some of our friends coming.
As in the last set I posted, these were made from Sycamore, resawed 3/4”+ thick piece to yield two 5/16”+ thick pieces. I also stack cut these two together up until the cursive individual names which of course I had to cut separately.
I embellished the first design I previously made of these martini graphics which was for my wife by adding in a shaker on the martini side of the piece. I always feel the need to evolve deeper into a design and keeping adding onto it…I like how it turned out. Does anybody else feel the same way when doing similar pieces over again?
I finished these with 4-5 coats of Deft Satin spray and then sanded to a nice finish with a 400 grit soft flexible pad installed onto my 90 degree drill.
Cheers!
