This is a bookcase my wife asked for for christmas. Nothing to fancy here but the oak looks great and my wife will love it. It is made to fit into a recessed spot in the wall in the bedroom. I will be placing a step by speb blog about building this bookcase on my website www.thisoldworkshop.com. It should be up by the end of the week if you are interested in my experiances building this project.

I didn’t know you had never built a book case. then i thought about the shop at my old house and we did make a set of shelves together but they were for Cd’s. As I recall they were for a Dr. her name escapes me at the moment but I remember it was about 3 feet tall and had four or five shelves in it we made the molding on the router table with some difficulty because we were using the Vermont America router table what a junker that thing was This looks nice but your camera didnt catch the grain too well But I think you did a fine job keep up the great work Lance

Well to be honest this wasn’t my first one I just forgot about a pair of them I built for a friend. Thats why I changed the title of the project. So don’t tell anyone I spaced out and forgot. And yes I remember those other projects with you for the doctor those were fun to make

I guess what I should have said was this is the first bookcase I built to go in MY house. Oh and yes I remember that damn router table. Although I did like working on the one we made out of the desk, that was nice with that fence you bought for it. Made for a good table, and talk about recycling
