My latest box in which I sought advice regarding the mounting of the barrel hinges. Thanks for all the help from the jocks.
It has a lot of router tear-outs and the plywood lid is mounted rather poorly, I’ll be working on those techniques in the future. On the good side of things I think I finally figured out how to use the Porter-Cable dovetail jig properly.
Sides are whitewood, top and bottom are 1/8th inch plywood that I believe is poplar. All cheap stuff. Finished with sanding sealer and spar urethane. Mostly because I was spar urethane-ing another project at the time and didn’t feel like juggling finishes and brushes for a mediocre box.
thanks
Logan

Looks good to me! Long ago I bought an inexpensive dovetail jig, never could get it to work very well. Any dovetails I do now I hand cut (and they aren’t perfect either but it is faster than the jig).

I know what you mean Dez, I hand cut dovetails for the same reason. Logan I can’t see any problems with it on my computer, it looks very nice.
