This project is about 3years old. A friend of mine was rebuilding his horse stalls and was putting on some new siding. I was able to grab a couple of boards just before he torched them in his burn pile. I kept them in my small shop for a while and my wife asked if I would make her a bird house…another challange. She wanted JUST A BIRD HOUSE, but I can’t do JUST A BIRD HOUSE…you guys know what I mean…LOL The dots on the face are the major cities in Texas. You pour the bird seed in north Texas and the birds eat in west Texas. It has been blown off the fence a couple of time and that is why El Paso is gone. I have to replace the perch and the lid of the feeder. It was a fun project…

This is a unique bird feeder. Very original.
The Texas LJs should enjoy seeing this project.

Shame about the barn boards getting destroyed, but at least you save some of them, and in a truly unique birdhouse to boot… Nice.

oh my goodness … I’m laughing at the story – not the project, I think it is brilliant. “Food goes in the north, they sit in the west.. .. ”
lol Great job.
Now, what does your wife think of this “not just a birdhouse”?

A very cool feeder. Good save on the barn boards, too.
