I have made this wooden dagger as a present for a friends daughter who plays R DND (which means they dress in silly customs and fight with fake swords).
she is 9 years old, so it had to be light. the blade is made of cedar, the guard of black walnut and the scabbard is Oak.
I have added NZ 10c coin to add mystery and dark powers to it…. it has a very scary face on it.

finished with danish oil with several layers of poly.

-- The woods are lovely, dark and deep, but I have promises to keep...

Awesome dagger! I play a little D&D, though I don’t dress up and run around the woods pretending to kill people…
I love watching the videos of others doing so though :P
The coin is a nice touch! Looks like it would be a cool addition to any D&D table, or outdoor game
nice work

I forgot to mention that this dagger probably has special dark powers becuase it was forged with blood. while pairing the guard, the part flipped and my best ever sharpened chisel cut 2cm deep into my thumb. was a very clean cut….

Great looking dagger, your friends daughter should be quite powerful with the mystic coin and the blood offering that went into the making of the set.
