This project was my second attempt to make my own hinges for a box. The challenge was to create a hinge that would become part of the cover inlay design. It was cool to share with the lumberjocks community the steps needed to make this cover…..........

The base of the box is made from eastern red cedar. The base & cover are made from maple. The inlay & hinges are also made from red cedar. This was a fun box to create…....

It was a fun box to watch you making through the blogs. Very nicely done and most definitely distinctive. Looking forward to the next one.
