I made another dog bed for the Tails Humane Society fund raiser. They are a no-kill shelter and place hundreds of animals in good homes every year. That’s my dog, Bumper, in the last picture, adopted from this facility about 4 years ago. The redish wood is andiroba, sometimes called Brazilian mahogany. The lighter wood is maple. I made the side design pattern out of 1/2” MDF, attached it to thin andiroba, and used a flush cutting router bit to cut the designs. It is finished with sanding sealer and lacquer. The screw hole buttons are also maple.
