Just finished this for my granddaughters Sarah and Emily. This is the third one I’ve made over the past several years. I expanded this project from the original plan by making the base larger and adding a Christmas tree and small packages I bought at a hobby shop. I also put a piece of plexiglass in the chimmney to keep Santa from falling out as he decends the Chimmney. Fun project.

Thats really cool. I take it you pull the blocks out and Santa goes down the chimmney, do the blocks stay in the chimmney or do you take them completely out?

Looks like a lot of fun … and a lot of work.

My aunt had a countdown very close to yours. I made one earlier. I put a dado down the length to insert a rail, the Santa Claus was attached to the rail with a dowel. I am not seeing how yours works exactly. Looks good

Tim they just come out far enough to let Santa by, Jeff, your right they are alot of work. Lizardhead, just pull Dec. 1 out a little and Santa leans to the right, pull Dec. 2 out a little and he falls to the next set and etc.

I like this design this much more than the traditional drawers/doors with candy (my kids may not agree with that).
Have your say...
