The reason I am posting these two as an individual project is because they are both “repeats” for me.

I have done each of these in the past and was asked to dust off my patterns and redo them for soon-to-be new owners. Links to the first-time cuts on these can be found here and here.

The Washington Redskins cutting is done on Ornamental Asian Cherry, measures 16×10 inches and is over 1/4” thick. Once again I LOVE the wood – I just wish I could have cut a Ravens Logo into it! ;-)

The “Evolution of Man with Guitar” is done on White Figured Oak, measures 14×8 inches and is also around 1/4” thick. I think this cutting is the best I have done so far – I think since it is a tad bigger this time I was able to put more detail into it.

As I understand, both customers will be using these for Holiday gifts.

Both are finished by a quick soak in lemon oil and a backing of thick felt.

Enjoy!

I saw the Evolution of man before and showed it to my wife who plays music. She loved it. Great idea and execution.
She was amazed when she saw the close-up picture of how it was done.

Your patience is legendary. Good to see them (again).

This is great stuff. Hat’s off! The idea of playing with shadows is great. Thanks for sharing.

Best,

Serge

Hey Brother, I saw that you left me a comment on a recent TV table that I built so I decided to view your work and man let me tell you-THAT IS SOME MARVELOUS WORK!! I didn’t know that those type of scrollings were possible. You create nice workings of all types, but those scrollings are super interesting (so much my wife and I may need one done of the two of us).

Your work is very impressive. I am building a Ravens Room in my home and would like to see if you could do a ravens themed portrait identical to the one you have already done in your projects portfolio to be placed on the face of the bar I am having built.

Have your say...
