And more Pens!

These are for family at gift giving time.

I finally got the tip that I needed to get the shiney CA (superglue) finish on the pens.

From left to right, Tulip wood, Madrone, Sapele, Maple (with yellow marker that turned orange/red when I applied the CA!), Beech, Maple again with purple marker, and Laurel last on the right.

All of these pens are the standard 7mm Slimline pen kits.

Thanks for checking it out!

Cool pens. Interesting to see what happened to the maple pen.

Brett, they look good. I like the use of the markers for color. I have tried it one a couple of pens but not on the entire pen. May have to give it a try, did you just use Sharpies?

Thanks guys!

Chris- I did just use Sharpie markers. If you use CA glue to finish with, beware! Test a piece first because it may change colors on you like the yellow did on mine. The glue made the colors run/smear too. I’m sure that some sort of sealer would help prevent this but I haven’t experimented with it yet.

Isn’t super glue wonderful? It certainly creates a beautiful finish, after 15 coats.
