I like the design Jim, gee you manage to get lovely tight joints, The carving is very subtle & just blends in great, well done Mate :))

Very nice, tight joints, clean carvings on hard woods is difficult, you did fine!

Glynn, wonderful turning and carving. I really like how the grain is seperated and flows. Is this 2nd picture what ash turns with a clear finish? Also what did you feel about this wood for carving ability? It looks like it is very favorable! I also admire your maple burl project wonderful grain!!!
