Canary wood, alder, and walnut….man this is fun. I think there might be a lot of bandsaw boxes for christmas gifts this year. I cant decide if i want to put drawer pulls on or not….any thoughts?

Very nice BSB. Its unusual that you used the laminations oriented from front to back rather than from side to side.
Made for a nice effect.
Thanks for sharing it with us.

When I looked at it first I thought there might be a stability issue but then I saw the back panel glued back on. What can I say, that makes me feel really bad about my – so far – first attempt on a BS box. What will your third box look like now that the second is such a piece of art?

You must have a better band saw … or better wood … or both :-)

Beautiful.
If you do put pulls on, I’d mimic the edges for each drawer.

Very nice. Like the ‘open air’ design.

I would leave off the doorpulls myself. Don’t think you need them with this design.

Great job on the box, you’re probably hooked on making them now. And I like it without pulls.

Very cool bandsaw box! I like the way you laminated your wood from side to side. I too see a snake theme here. How cool would little snake drawer pulls be? Just a thought. Keep up the great work.

thanx for all the comments!!!!! i think i have decided to stick with no pulls. after playin around with different ideas and listen to yalls opinions, no pulls is the way to go. I am totaly hooked on these…I already have a couple more in the works.

I have a ryobi band saw with 1/4” blade. I do use the big industrial bandsaw at work to slice the back off (only because my benchtop size unit at home doesnt cut any thicker than 3 1/2”).....then everything else is cut at home on my ryobi.

I’ve been looking at band saw boxes and I really like the one you made. I hope my first one looks half as good!
