I built 5 boxes commissioned by my sister to give as gifts for her company Christmas party, All of the boxes are constructed out of Maple and Walnut and the box lifts on top are scrolled from Ideas she had for each of her 5 employees. The joinery is half lap butt joints and the finish is 1 coat tung oil and 2 coats deft spray laquer. The employees are from Wyoming and each box is designed to appeal specifically to them as individuals. Thanks for looking.

This is great! did you carve the top yourself? You did great on these and I bet anyone would be proud and excited to get it for Christmas!

I did carve the top myself, it was a freehand drawing I used a scrollsaw to cut out the initial shape, I than used a dremel to carve out the small leaves and finally a belt sander to shape the larger petals, the details were done by pyrography, all of the other box tops were created in the same fashion. Thank you all for the compliments :)
