One of my Sailors is having her first child- our Chiefs Mess wanted to give her a cradle. As we are in the far east, Mahoghany was chosen. Never done Greene and Greene before and have a newfound appreciation for the craftsmanship and simple beauty of the lines. Completely hand (no electric tools) crafted, which accounts for the less than perfect joinery. Now the wife wants new furniture!

That sure came out nice, wonderful looking cradle. Welcome to L J’s!

I really like this, it is just classic, reminds me of an antique. And I love the finish, great color and texture. You should be really proud of this one, doubly so because it was done by hand. I could not be more jealous.

Matt, This is a wonderful cradle. I am a G&G fan, so this definitely caught my eye. Welcome to LumberJocks and I’m looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Matt – Absolutely a great looking cradle. Very nice design. Can you post pictures of the inside and post?

Thanks for all of the kind words and encouragement folks. Looking forward to posting more as they are built. Webbtoyota, wish I could post pics of the inside, but it’s already been given to the young mother, who has since transferred back Stateside. Will post pics of the inside of the next one.
