This is my second attempt at carving a piece. It came out better than the first one but I still need a lot more practice. Spalted maple 4 1/2” tall 3 3/4” wide aline dyed with a spray on poly finish. Thanks for looking. Lou

Lou, I think it turned out pretty well. I don’t know the look you were hopeing for but I like it… No matter what it is that we do, we are own wurst critic….. And we never stop learing!! This piece looks a little bit like a project that I have done.
