This is a cherry stool I recently turned which is based on Herman Miller – Eames stool design I have admired for years. My version is much taller so I can sit on it without bending over much. It turned out great and I finished the piece with oil and shellac, hand rubbed after a few few weeks of curing.

That’s a great stool sample !!
I guess I won’t be turning it on my JET Mini Lathe : (
Your “model” (or Princess on a pedestal ) is very cute and seems to be enjoying herself : )

Great stool. I could probably turn something that big. But I don’t think I’m in the mood or just to scared to swing the head of my lathe around to do it.

Thanks for sharing.
