I built this rocker for my Grandaughter for Christmas 2009. The bike itself is 50 inches long. It even has real motorcycle engine sounds.

Very slick looking rocker and going the extra mile with some cool add-ons makes this project that more special for the Grandaughter !! Nice work.

Mark, that is very cool. I’m sure she loves it. A full size one could built so she can ride with her granddad.

Awesome build Mark. My daughter Maddison (also a Maddy) would love something like this. Her grandfather (my dad) has a Harley too. Did you use any plans for this or was it your own design? And what did you use for the light on the front and the engine sounds?

I bought the plans after seeing them online. There are a few different ones out there. I liked these the best. Heres the link to them. http://www.woodworkersworkshop.com/store/index.php?app=ccp0&ns=prodshow&ref=11_1947 The light is just a regular tap-light. I was going to recess it, but I thought it may be hard to remove it to change batteries so I left it surface mounted. I made a pleather seat and used foam for padding also. The sound came from a stuffed toy. My wife found it at the local Harley dealer. I bought the Harley stickers there too. The mirrors are real. I made them removable because she was only 2 when I gave it to her. I dont know who had the bigger eys on Christmas mornig. Maddy or her Daddy!
