This box was made with some Rustic Cherry I got for a good price in Reno, NV. It has some Birdseye clusters. The top is some Elm Burl with a border of Birdseye maple. It is 12” x 8” x 6”. The finish is Watco Danish Oil. The trays are the same Cherrry. I sized the compartments differently for this box. The Elm Burl is the first I have ever used. I was looking for some Burl wood from Eric S in West Sacramento and he gave me this small piece. I bookmatched it. I bought a thicker piece and got enough for two more box tops. I wish I had oriented the design of the box to use the wood like in the last picture.

It’s beautiful and you did a fine job on it; congratulations.
