Here’s a scrollsawn plaque that I did recently for a gift. Don’t let it fool you… it is VERY easy to do. (I was intimidated before I started, then as I got into it I realized it was pretty easy.) I did all the scroll saw work, start to finish, in less than 30 minutes. It gets kinda fun figuring out how to get to some of those inner cuts! Baltic birch.

Very nice. I will take your word for it. To be honest I wouldn’t know where to begin with respect to scroll sawing. I will have to put one of these on my wish list.

hops…wow…are you telling me the lines are through cuts—-or just the outside shape??? I was thinkning the lines were carving or indentations of some kind…

Sure, if you look at most of the veins, they’re basically just cut in then backed out. The only tricky ones (not that the cuts themselves are “tricky”, just trying to find your way back out) are the really “deep” cuts that go into the middle.
