Thanks to FWW for the motivation to build these saw horses. I used reclaimed maple flooring and decided to add 1/4” all thread rods in the already made slots from the two boards that made the stretchers, the nuts are recessed in a curved block that puts the pressure on the outer edges of the stretchers mortise. The final board thickness was 0.695” after I planed off the factory finish and some of the grooves on the back, so I decided to double up on the base, it made the mortise simple. Finish with one coat of Benite from Dalys paint Seattle.
I use them as a base for my do-all bench and could not be happier.

Great looking and handy to have horses and good use of reclaimed flooring.
How did the planer like the hardwood flooring finish ?

Thanks Kiefer

Thanks guys, and the flooring was a steal! 7 boxes stuffed with long and short boards CL $50. (plus free nails).
I cannot say enough GOOD things about my DeWalt dw733 … It took that factory finish off no-problem. It is just the most fantastic addition to my woodshop, dead accurate. I am totally pleased with it.
