I decided to make cutting boards for Christmas presents. The one on the left is Maple and Purple Heart. The one on the right is PH, Maple, and Padauk. They are my first and second cutting boards. I finished them with mineral oil and buffed them a paint roller on my lathe. That’s right I said it, a paint roller on my lathe. My old 1.5 inch hole cutter fits perfectly and it works pretty well. The construction it pretty basic, tight bond III and clamps, with a quarter inch round-over on the sides. Any questions or comments would be appreciated.

Andy, welcome to the CB club. Nice lines in your design. They can be habit forming.

Two somebodies are going to be very happy this Christmas. Nice looking cutting boards. Paint roller on the lathe huh – you got some nerve fella :-)) Whatever gets the job done is great – good thinking.
