Hello lumber jocks. I was looking for an introductary forum and didn’t see one so I would just like to say hi and I’m Melissa Jones of Nice Carvings. I carve signs from wood and composites. I joined today to learn more about woodworking as I have an interest in making furniture for my house, etc.

i have attached a carved sign I recently made..

Hi Melissa, welcome to lumberjocks!
That is really amazing. I saw your project here and had a look at your website. I can still say WOW!
It is woodart more than signs. I had to bookmark your website to have a look at those beautiful woodsigns from time to time.
Thank you for sharing! Greetings, Uli

This may be your first time on here, but I’ve seen your work somewhere else – just don’t rememberr where.
That’s a great piece. I do some limited hand carved signs. I’d love to get into CNC work. I usually have t have someone else do any type of art painting rather than straight color.
Keep posting – I’m sure there are a lot of people who’d like to see more!

Thank you everyone, that’s very nice! I have added a few more signs to the posting since it seemed like you all really liked the sign.

I’m really excited to learn more about woodworking here, thanks again. See you around!

You need to change your name from “Nice Carvings” to “Awesome Carvings”.
