That is something I need to make for my wife! When I met her, she would stick her finger right down into the toaster to retrieve that stuck piece…
It took some convincing, but she at least unplugs the thing first now…
great idea, and on my “to build” list for sure!

Thats a neat little device. Simple and easy.

My dad made toast tongs like these when he retired. His best customer was Harrods of Knightsbridge, London, UK. His were made in one piece on a bandsaw and smoothed off using an abrasive band.
They are still in use in the family 25years on.
