This is a cross I made for my wife (she is a precher) to use at a ladies retreat. The cross was made from an old bard board about 100 years old. The idea was for people to write their sins on paper and then nail them to the cross asking for forgiveness. I used concrete nails for people to use to nail the paper to the cross. Course I had to sharpen the nails so they could nail them into the wood.

I built one very similar for my personal chapel in my house. (okay, it is a corner of my living room with a prayer bench and my cross). nice work.

I have used that same activity after a time of reflection before, it can be very powerful. I choose shingle nails because the heads were huge and had less chance of people who are not used to hammering missing. Nice work.

So…... is two old boards nailed together really a “woodworking project”?

Or is this just blatant religious proselytizing?

Well Wes, my intention was to show something that I made. If it offends you well that is your problem I make no appology for the pictures, text or content. I see by a post of yours you do not believe. That is your choice. I wish you luck with that. Make sure to where something cool I hear it hot there. Oh I see your also a Canadian. I to am from Canada now an American with dual citizenship. You enjoy your Holiday Tree, here in Wisconsin it is a Christmas Tree and we celebrate CHRISTMAS. I don’t understand why if someone posts something, someone somewhere is going to get bet out of shape. Your clicked on my project Wes no one forced you. By the way i had to look up Proselytizing. It is the act of attempting to convert people to another opinion and, particularly, another religion (from wikipedia) When did I ever do that. Have a great day Wes God Bless.
