My first jewelry box made of figured maple and redwood. The redwood was saved from seventy year old house being taken down. It was a great find. Size is 13×7 x 4. Tung oit finish with tung oil polish. Comments welcome

Very nice jewelry box. The combination of the woods and the grain on both go well together. I like the way the pattern on the side matches that of the lid in an almost continuous fashion. Great job.

This is a really beautiful box! Nice contrast in the wood & figure & great craftsmanship. Well done!

Had to open this and admire. It’s a real eye catcher. I hope it’s for a special person!

Usually people say the pictures don’t do it justice, so I wonder how much more beautiful it is in person. Very beautiful figure, and I think that’s the first time I said that when I was not talking about a woman…

Great box!

I have worked with thousands of BF of redwood through the years and know the rewood you used for the box is quite rare.
