This is a cedar lined blanket/hope chest that I built for my neighbors. They wanted it to match the style of their existing bedroom furniture so I added the upholstered seat. It goes nicely with the headboard on their bed. I forgot to take pictures after the stain and finish was applied.

Nice chest. I’m sure your neighbours are very happy with it.

Rob:
Wow.
I’ve been searching for a cedar-lined chest example, hopefully with Plans. I have two granddaughters, and with my travels I could not make the first one; now on sabbatical, I have time to make the second – your project provides a great inspiration. Do you have plans – even basic dimensions, and any commentary on how you did the upholestry(sp) would be most appreciated. I’m well-short of your league; but I’m certainly game.
Thanks.
