My wife always complains about my shoes all over the house and it dawned on me! I need to make a shoe bench!. I googled some images of different designs and found one by Jesse O’hara found here

I really liked the curves of this bench so I began to construct something with a few similar curves. The bench is made from African mohagany and hard maple. The finish is BLO and wipe on poly. All comments welcome!

A real beaut. It looks sturdy enough to park a truck on. Its beautiful and keeps you out of trouble, great piece of work.

At my house, it is my wife that is always leaving her shoes around. If I built her something that looked that good (even if I could) she would just use it for knick-knacks and still scatter her shoes!

great job! The shoes look out of place on it… What did you make the legs out of? What dimension lumber did you buy?

hianupam- The legs and the top were made from 8/4 mahogany, and the shelves and rails 4/4
