In France it’s the day of ” Beaujolais nouveau”

This day inspired me and my lathe

I go to my shop and my mind ( without wine ) works…........

I decided to make a gobelet with captured rings on a bottle wine stopper

A typical french concept !!!! and don’t drink too much

Comments welcome

That’s what I call a unique wine stopper. And please, don’t stop turning. You’re doing a great job.

Question Jack: Did you ever thought about splitting your corks in half to get more out of them. I heard that cork is going low on the planet. In my local newspaper they ask to bring used wine bottle corks to wine dealers so they could be recycled in shoes, flooring and wall paneling, keeping new cork for wine bottles.

Nice turning—I love the captured ring. Someone please show my wife—I don’t yet own a lathe, and she likes wine!

Great job my friend.

To all thanks for the comments

To Serge : It’s a good idea
In France a lot of producers of wine use a new type of corks perhaps to preserve the planet …...

To cozmo35 : If your wife would love this you must make one like this for her

To Lanwater : When do you buy a lathe ??????

It’s a fantastic tool and make a lot of pleasure

To all thanks

To Thomas : et dire que le beaujolais nouveau ne casse pas trois pattes à un canard !!!!

It would have been last year had I have the space. I am absolutely out of space.
I would need to retire some stuff first.
