Turned the handle from a piece of spalted Holly. I cut down the Holly tree a couple years ago. Pieces have been sitting in my shop since then. Some spalted real nice.
Spalted Holly handle, Natural Sable brush dyed Pink.

what a beautiful piece of holly, i also cut one down a long time ago, it was about 10 inches in diameter, i gave some away and i still have a piece…always nice to have wood like that in the wood store…hope your doing well these days…nice project here….i watched a turning video the other day, learned quite a bit…i dont have a lathe because my back is bad…but it sure looks fun…
