This is from a tree cut on the property last year. This was one of those projects that I wanted to be really good and it just never seemed to make it. I did learn a lot from making this and the one thing I learned is to make them a lot smaller. I am still learning and this was one of those “learning” projects.
The base’s length is 13’’ and it’s 8’’ tall. The drawer handle is half of a hickory nut shell. Put 2 coats of watco natural on it and a clear satin poly. Thanks for lookin’.

Can’t complain too much if it’s your first one , especially being as large as it is : )
Nice use of the Walnut with the live edge…first I’ve seen here .

Very nice and great idea! Hope you don’t mind if I borrow it. :) I just cut some nice, small walnut logs from my property and I’ve been thinking about what I could do with them.
