This box is titled “Geneva” for Geneva, Illinois. It as constructed from solid Leopardwood with Mahogany slipfeathers securing the mitered and splined joints. The top is Makore and is trimmed with an inlay of Ebony and Holly. The inlay is also mirrored in the top edge of the box and can bee seen when open. Fitted leather bottom and brass hinges finish it off.
Size: 9” wide X 6” deep X 2 5/8” tall

Great box. The mirrored inlays add a really nice touch to the box. The various woods compliment each other well.

Great work! I agree on the mirror inlay, idea. I am definately going to copy that idea on my next box. I got a pool cue blank of Makore on ebay the other day that I am itching to do something with. Cool wood!

Hey, just out of curiosity, how did you do the inlay? Does it go throughout the box sides or is it just an inlay in the top pieces?
