November, 2011—Made this box by request. They wanted a heart-shaped box with drawers, so I came up with this. If I had to do it over, I would make a few changes that would enhance the beauty, like making the drawers not symmetrical. Also, I think it would be more interesting if the pedestal base were made as a separate piece.
The drawers have felt bottoms and the finish is spray lacquer.

I like the incorporated pedestal. That last picture looks kinda like a ufo or funky bird. Nice overall.
