A eagle I made when I was 12. It is not a true intarsia project as at the time I was not aware that it was suppose to be made with different species of wood, so I just used stain.

I like it….....true intarsia or not. I have been working up the courage to try intarsia for the last couple of years but never seem to find the time to start. I think that will be my new years resolution…...and I will probably use your approach of one wood and staining in case it becomes a disaster.

I’ve never tried doing anything like this. You’ve done a great job!
