Walnut, one coat BLO. Nothing on the interior yet, will be some simple dividing trays, also walnut. Burn is from where the tree caught fire from a lightning strike. No joke.

Love the grain on the lid and the sculpting.
What did you use to shape the sides? Angle grinder? If so what attachment(disc)?

Great looking box. The grain is fanastic. Leaving the spot where the lighting hit is cool.

That’s a Great Looking Box, Nature at it’s best, maybe the strike was leading You to this project, Elegant carving style, Great Job, thanks for sharing
