This dog bed is maple and walnut with sanding sealer and lacquer finish. I made it to donate to the 2012 Tails Humane Society annual fund raiser to be held early next year. Tails is a no-kill humane society which finds homes for animals and does rescues in animal hoarding cases. They are a great organization benefiting thousands of animals that might otherwise be euthanized. I made a similar one of these beds for last year’s event. The trim work is walnut that was resawed and I used a router straight bit with an MDF pattern I drew out to cut the design. The inside bottom is also resawn walnut, cut to approximately 1/4” thick and contact cemented to a plywood piece. Hopefully it’ll bring in some money for Tails.
