Trapezoid Table

This is a custom table that was built carried a trapezoid theme in a few different places. The 4” thick top, built in a torsion box style, has sloped sides. The base slopes out about 5” on both sides. I also made the stools with about a 4” change in the width.

The customer sent me a picture of something similar to what they wanted with with new dimensions. I made the changes and drew it up in SketchUp so I and the customer could get a feel for proportions. The only thing that I changed after the drawing was the thickness of the stools. That 1 1/2”, while sturdy enough, looked a little too thin.

I sent it out unfinished. It will get a very cool designer finish. A told the customer to send a picture when it is finished. I’ll share it as an update here when I receive it.

Very well done!

Your design really works well artistically.

I think that your use of sketchup is very strategic.

That gives the folks at lumerjocks the ability to freely share plans.

Is it possible to post the sketchup file to this post?
Maybe just post a link to the file for download where the file resides on your website.

I would like to start using it for future lumberjock posts.

That is a great idea. I may see how Google Doc will work in sharing.
