I just finished watching the video on: WoodGears had to give it a try. Very addictive I must say. I still have some sanding to do, all in all I can see me making a few more of these.

So the question is: Can you do it in 30 seconds yet? :)

Oh heck no ;-D but it is sure exciting to see the finished piece inside the waste when you are done.

A lot of detail in this piece …nice job : ) I have one from a woodworking show that a demonstrator made about 10+ years ago.
It fell off a shelf at home and broke its neck , but my Dad was able to fix it for me at the time . Thanks Dad ! : )

That is a nice reindeer Kelly and if you are going to throw it in the thrash let me know I’ll finish it and put it on my sleigh .

I tried this over the weekend and got one with only 4 points and another with only 2 legs. Did you do the band saw or scroll saw version? Congratulation on all your extremities.

Thanks for the comments! I used the band-saw to make this reindeer; I intend to make the scroll-saw version next.

My grandfather did this last year. Not sure where he got the template but its the same reindeer. Its good practice on using the ban saw.

Have your say...
