maple and walnut box

been churning out boxes left and right thought i would posts a few this weekend
this 1 is curly maple and walnut has 2 shallow drawers 15 divided compartments on the top and a sliding tray
all finished in poly. i have refined my hindes a little and am using a brass pin as the pivot
not perfict but not too bad

Nice Eddy! I really like how you make your own hinges. I’ve got to try that. I like the contrasting wood and the bookmatched top – another technique I want to try (as is the spline – that’s my next project, to build a spline jig). Good job! Are you selling these?

Nice. I like all three.
I’m a wood hinges kind of guy and I really like these.
They are nice and light.

Nice design and woods are beautiful .
The wooden hinges are a really nice touch and something I have to try .
he interior looks great and should make some body very happy !

These boxes are extra nice…..I really like the curly maple, the grain is so interesting. I too am a fan of wooden hinges and these look first class.

So you too live in Tempe. I could use a crash course in hinge making, Are you open for that? I live along the 60 at McClintock.

Mcclintock and elliot for me shop is all tore appart now making changes for more room still not used to a 2 car garage
but im sure i could show you it is realy easy i am off on sundays and mondays
