This is a Pyrography I did for an Auburn fan in Alabama.
Wouldn’t you know, once it was finished I started to spray it with white paint instead of polyurethane by mistake.
I spent several days undoing that crazy mistake.
I like this style though, and I think I will do some more pieces with transparency overlays.
This was done on Poplar & took about 29 hours. Poplar does not burn as quickly as Red Cedar (My usual choice), and the painting on this was much more involved. I would say using the Poplar took an additional 10 hours.
It measures 19” x 13.5 “
