Height Tracking Wooden Ruler

The ruler replica starts at 6” from the ground. We’ll use it to mark Hudson’s height as he grows. I wish I would have used a lighter stain, but I think it still turned out pretty well.

This is a terrific idea. I have a number of friends with small kids, and something like this would be a great gift.
Looks great. Are the details carved or painted (or carved then painted?)

I first traced the numbers from a printout to the wood using a good bit of pressure with an ink pen. Then I used a paint marker. Remember, the lines are marked at every inch, so the feet are 1/12 instead of 1/16 as is standard on a regular ruler.
