I built this Cedar strip canoe 18 or 19 yr ago. I have to replace the gunnel’s this winter so i can use it this spring coming. Man it was beautiful before i got the bottom all scratch up from going down rivers and streams. I put a very small keel so i could go into rivers

What a beautiful Canoe! I would love to take that honey out on the Deschuttes River and relax. Its just lovely. Well constructed. Good job.

My hat is off to you Sir! I have watched my Dad make one of these and they are a lot of work! Nice work.

It is good to hear that you are floating yours in the water. I don’t think that the one my Dad is building will ever see water, it is tooooo nice for that. :)

I hope to build one myself here in the next winter or two. Can’t wait to have one of my own- on top of the car headed to the Boundary Waters (I’m spoiled here in MN).

It has to have scratches and gouges. Beautiful boat man. I have always wanted to do a stripper. OK now, you know what I mean.
