Turned this Gavel and block for my brother-in-law to use at his car sales/auctions.
Gavel is zebrawood and the block is a piece of cherry form a tree that was on his property.
Wrapped the head with brass and applied one of his decals.

It’s very nice and I’m sure that he loved it.

If it smells, I didn’t notice.
Thanks for the kind words.

Oh okay! I have heard it smells like a wet dog when you cut it. but since you didn’t notice it must be a good thing. Great job again. Thanks

Nice, made one of Maple years ago for someone, and it actually came back! Still use it now and again mine has a dime glued to the bottle of the shaft, a joke about penny for your thought and a dime for your silence.
