My monitor at my second job was sitting a little low, so being the creator of sawdust that I am I came up with this. I used scrap pine left over from the built in book shelves I made for the TV room. It started in my mind as just an open box to sit my monitor on. As I began going through the scrap pile and building it in my mind I saw a drawer being added. When I decided to add the drawer I found the pull in a box of stuff I picked up at an estate sale. A few people have noticed it and asked where it came from. I told them I made it, so I may be asked to build some more of these. If I do end up making more I will charge enough to pay for some new toys in the shop.

That’s a great idea. I’ve got a solid-core door “computer desk” and am looking to doll it up a bit (build a usb hub and power strip in to a riser on the back, port extensions and cable hiders, things like that) and this looks like a required addition.
Have your say...
