Well it’s been a while since I have been in the shop because I had a bad flu followed by a chest and head cold.
I have been in a bad mood and thought I better get into the shop and do something this weekend.
Sorry for not commenting on some good projects as of yet but like I said I was in a terrible mood .
Well here is my latest project and design , just playing around with shape and texture .
Not a very good build but I think the box looks OK overall and it gave me a chance to try out my new sled which has been sitting for a month and see how well it works .
Let me know how you like the design and texture .

Thanks in advance

Kiefer

I like it. Really unique. Really an eye catcher. Wish you had posted a pic with the lid off

Interesting shape and great textures. What did you learn from your experiments?

I like this concept. I think it’s worth doing one for keeps.

Nice one Kiefer – that looks excellent.

Yes some photos of the inside would be nice.

Cheers

I really like the concept. I think you could really make this piece amazing with a contrasting wood. It could be as small as a medallion on the lid (which looks delicious) or a band of inlay beneath the lid to give it lift. The ridges add an Asian flare and I like it very much.
If this is what you produce when your sick, maybe you should stop taking medicine!
Great job.

Well, this box is definitely out of the box. I like it. It has some kind of oriental flavour.
I wish you good health and happy days.

I love experimenting in the shop. That box turned out beautiful. Can you add an “Opened” picture to see the inside?
It looks a little like something from Frank Lloyd Wright—-kind of from the House on the Rock in Wisconsin

Nice.
I too would like a bit more info on the build. It seems really interesting and eye catching.

I like it,
Steve

I can’t figure for the life of me how you made the sides but it is definitely so very different! Great!

Any experiment that tells you something is a success. You have the added benefit of an attractive box as well!

I really like the ideas here. Great result!
