Mya's First "Electric" Train Table. HO Scale, 4x8 layout

Glad to see a fellow MRR on LJ’s have been at it for 8 yrs and had to tear down my layout last year to let my son have my room.
I saw in your past projects a little girl smiling to get her train table before Christmas, will she be helping with this one or is this now Dad’s hobby.

Hi Pat, It’s actually turning into a whole family project. Her big brothers, grown and no longer in the house, are donating their old toys and offering to come help build. It is a hobby I always wanted to get into but never seemed to have the time. I have collected pretty much all scale of RR. G scale all the way down to N scale but no layouts. Except for the wood set built a yr or two ago. She still plays hard on that one, but, she’s getting older and wants to move up to a more ‘age appropriate’ (Mya – “I’m 5 after all”) layout. I love the fact she loves trains, just like her daddy!!! :0)

Thats great look forward to seeing it develop. My favorite part of the hobby is building craftsman structures.

Since these are made from wood I guess its ok to post them. If your looking for some help drop me an email/or pm and I’ll guide you as best I can. This is one I’m working on now so don’t be too critical yet. LOL

LOL, Great work, hope I get half as good! Would love to find plans, or even buy prebuilts of this quality!!! How long have you been doing this?
