This is third trunk this past month.This one is stained with Behr Red Mahogany and sprayed with 4 coats of satin.The leather is brushed side out and 3/4” rope handles along with antique brass hardware.

Very nice, that style is my favorite look. i’ve built a bunch of old looking stuff for my other hobby; staining them with wool/vinegar or tobacco/amonia home made stains to keep them period correct. You might want to consider Van Dykes as a source of hardware.
