This pair of hollowforms came from the same piece of spalted silver maple (Acer saccharinum). The taller one is about 6” high and 5” in diameter. I had a little bit of blowout on the rim of the taller one and, after enlarging it to smooth it out, you could see quite a bit of the interior so I ended up dyeing it black on the inside.
Finished with a coat of Danish oil and then Beale buffed, both will likely end up as Christmas gifts.
