here are some Cutting Boards that I made on my table saw with my incra jig one is padauk and walnut one is purpleheart and padauk maple and walnut maple and purpleheart maple and padauk

These look very nice, but, I do have to say—after working with Paduk and having tasted its bitterness, I wonder if this will have any effect on the food you cut on this board. Also, it seems to stain things when it gets wet and go really dark if not completely sealed.

Just sayin’... and wondering out loud.

The Padauk one has a sort of sunset feel to it. Very nice.

I love the contrasting lighter and darker, beautiful stuff there. But then, I like the other one too!

Ya I have experienced the paduk getting dark as far as bitter i have never noticed it. I haven’t had it stain the maple in the cutting boards yet (knock on wood)
