From the last pic on my last blog post comes the simply sushi board… Curves cut on the Patron curve cutting jig…and a small dipping bowl… the bowl sits in a small round hole cut with a forstner bit..
To be a little different and to make these easier… I used a blank tealight holder and cut a small hole in one end for a bowl… see pic 5….
This idea came from one of my clients who ordered the 10 cheeseboards… he saw the blanks and though they were sushi boards… so I slipped down town and got the bowls…
BTW the order ended up including 2 endgrain boards, 4 regular sushi boards, 4 large cheese trays and 9 smaller cheese boards… for the first order…
And a teaser…..
Queensland maple and PH…

Larry nice change up on the board. I like it, pretty cool how it breaks up he pattern. Hope all is well down under and talk to you soon.
Few more hours at work and 3 days off. Making 10 cutting boards 15 drawers and trying to get my outdoor dinning table done. Seems I’m getting behind!

Nice boards. I don’t how you keep coming up with these unique boards.
By the way, that sushi stuff is pretty good if you fry it up a little! :)
