Yes and No… the orginal pattern was a childerns craft pattern, a turkey made from felt. I came up with using wood and putting the lollipops in it. Last time I made a bunch of these was probly around 2001 and sold a bunch of them.

I just wanted to thank you for posting this on Lumberjocks. My 7 year old grand-daughter called the other night asking if I would help her make a turkey that she could take to class. They had just read “A Plump and Perky Turkey”. All of the kids were asked to make a turkey and bring it to class. She told her class that her grandpa was an artist with wood. Her words not mine. I found your turkey, and she came over today. We went to the store and picked out the colors together. I cut out the pieces and she painted and assembled her Plump and Perky Turkey. She is sooooo proud of her turkey. She says it will be the best in the class. Thank you so much!
Have your say...
